Activated carbon as an odour-binding agent

Activated carbon is a highly porous carbon body with a large internal surface area. The origin of this activated carbon is coconut shells and a renewable raw material. Due to the “van der Waals forces”, odorous substances are bound to the activated carbon purely physically. Activated carbon has been used as an odour filter for a very long time, e.g. in kitchens in extractor bonnets or refrigerators. But also in shoe insoles or in filter systems for car interiors. Air conditioners also work with an activated carbon stage to remove external odours (exhaust gases, sulphur dioxide, etc.) from the supply air.

Aloe vera as gentle care

Aloe vera, which is used in Diamond Care and ensures gentle care, is exclusively
extracted from the leaves of the Aloe barbadensis Miller. Directly after harvesting, the ripe aloe vera leaves are brought from the plantations to the manufactory, so that the valuable components of the raw material are fully preserved. In the manufactory, the aloe vera leaves are washed with water and then peeled by hand. The leaf fillets are further processed into aloe vera gel as well as liquid and powder concentrate. For Diamond Care, the aloe is used as a liquid concentrate, it is sprayed on. Thus, all grains of the litter automatically receive a “care shower”. Aloe vera is known for its caring effect. Cats have sensitive paws. Veterinarians advise to take good care of them with special products to protect them.
