The cat hammock as a new favourite place
Cats spend a large part of the day dozing and sleeping. They can completely relax their bodies while doing so: hardly any other animal can rest so elegantly in the most curious places! A cosy hammock or window & heater lounger is just right for cats. When rolled up in it or floating over the floor, a cat hammock from AniOne will soon become the favourite place of your velvet paws.
Are cat hammocks & heater loungers comfortable?
Rolling up in the recess is one of the preferred sleeping positions of cats. Cat hammocks & heater loungers offer excellent features: the lying surface is flexible and soft, as it is not lying on anything. Due to the weight of the cat, the textile surface protrudes downwards and thus forms contact surfaces close to the body; the tightness and the light pressure are pleasant and calming for the cat. If this sleeping area is also installed at an elevated level, the heater lounger & cat hammock meets all the criteria for an ideal sleeping area.
Where can you attach a cat hammock?
A hammock can be placed anywhere where there is space and reattached from time to time in another area. This makes the cat hammock a particularly versatile cat bed. Good places for a cat lounger are:
- Heating: During the colder times, many cats like to occupy the areas near heaters. If sitting or lying on a narrow radiator is not possible a cat hammock for the heating is a comfortable solution.
- Wall: Attached securely with a hook, you can also attach a cat hammock for the wall across a corner of the room or parallel to the wall on a frame.
- Scratching post: The climbing trunk is a favourite place, look-out area and throne for cats. Complemented by a cat lounger, the scratching post also becomes a cosy place to sleep.
- Window: Lying in the hammock by the window and watching what happens outside is not only exciting for house cats.
What should you pay attention to when getting a cat hammock?
As with any cat bed, the material should be robust and easy to clean. Make sure that the cover of the heater lounger & cat hammock can be washed. The attachment to walls or objects must be firm and stable, so that the animal can safely use the cat lounger, even if it jumps into it forcefully or two cats jockey for the bed – capacity is an important criterion for multi-cat households and for larger breeds. The cat hammock must be large enough for your house cat; there are adjustable models that can be adjusted in format.
