The freshly prepared puppy food contains few carbohydrates, with steamed, ground oats as the ONLY low-glycaemic grain – at just 15% of the total content, even less than in the previous recipe.

Low-glycaemic Alberta oats, for example from oat farmer Dale in Alberta, are digested more slowly and help keep blood sugar levels stable. Ground oats are among the healthiest carbohydrates – healthier than vegetables such as sweet potatoes, for example.
