AniOne Hedgehog House

In several German federal states, hedgehogs are already classified as an endangered species. The causes of their decline depend on a variety of risk factors, with traffic deaths being the main cause for hedgehogs. Another cause is the use of poisons in our gardens, as this reduces the food supply available to hedgehogs.

As a species that adapts to human environments, hedgehogs can be found in gardens, parks and even in large cities. They are active at dusk and during the night, searching for food such as insects, frogs, snails and fruit. This makes hedgehogs very useful in the garden.
