Why a special kitten food for neutered kittens?
Kittens grow from week to week and begin to explore their environment with great curiosity. It is important to know that their natural defences are not yet fully developed. During this period of new discoveries at 6 to 12 months of age, a kitten's immune system needs extra support - especially if it has been neutered.
Royal Canin Kitten Sterilised is designed to meet the specific needs of neutered kittens during this crucial development phase.
Royal Canin Kitten Sterilised food contains a selected combination of proteins, vitamins, minerals and a patented antioxidant complex. This has been specially developed to support the health of young cats in their first year as they grow into strong, adult cats.
Neutered kittens tend to gain weight, mainly due to longer sleeping times and lower energy requirements. For this reason, Royal Canin Kitten Sterilised food contains a lower fat content, which helps to support an appropriate ideal weight. At the same time, the balanced nutritional content of protein, calcium and phosphorus ensures healthy growth of the kitten. Poultry protein and plant fibres ensure an excellent taste and an optimal nutritional balance. This food also has a particularly high digestive tolerance thanks to highly digestible proteins and prebiotics. The texture has also been designed to be soft enough to make it easier for young cats to chew.
In addition, Royal Canin Kitten Sterilised has been specially developed to promote urinary health in young cats. Please always remember to provide your cat with a bowl of fresh water.
More variety for neutered kittens
To meet the individual preferences of different cats, Royal Canin Kitten Sterilised is also available as juicy chunks in tasty sauce or delicious jelly. If you are considering a mixed diet of dry and wet food, simply follow our feeding guidelines. This will ensure that your cat gets the right amount of wet and dry food.
Royal Canin quality promise
All Royal Canin products undergo extensive quality control to ensure optimal food quality and to meet the individual nutritional needs and lifestyle of your cat. This means that with Royal Canin Kitten Sterilised you can offer your young, neutered cat a high-quality, balanced diet.

Understanding customer ratings and reviews
Product reviews
How do reviews work in the Fressnapf group (including Maxi Zoo)?
Customer opinions in the form of product reviews and star ratings are beneficial for all customers. They enable you to learn more about the product and help you make a decision to purchase. Every customer who has bought a product online or in the store can submit a review. We also obtain reviews from third-party sources, e.g. manufacturer sites. The source of the review is shown alongside the respective comment. Its customers’ opinions are important to Fressnapf in order to analyse any weak points and to improve product quality. Our service provider Bazaarvoice checks all reviews to ensure that they are credible. Any review content that breaches the Fressnapf Group's terms of use will be rejected. Otherwise, both positive and negative product reviews are published. More information about product reviews can be found here.
