ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O is a balanced and nutrient-rich formula that has been specially developed to help dogs with urinary problems such as struvite crystals and stones.

Dissolving struvite stones

The nutrient mixture contained in this formula helps to dissolve struvite crystals and stones that can form in the bladder.

Low RSS value

This formula has a low RSS value (relative supersaturation). This reduces the ion concentration and prevents the formation of possible urinary stones.

Dilution of urine 

This food dilutes your dog’s urine, which makes the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate stones difficult.

Low magnesium content

This formula contains less magnesium – a natural component of struvite stones.

S/O index

This food also creates a urinary environment that makes the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate stones difficult.

Important comment

This product is a veterinary food from ROYAL CANIN®’s Veterinary Health Nutrition range. Therefore, it is important that the food is only fed on the recommendation of a veterinarian. This ensures that your pet gets the food it really needs. A dietary change should be made carefully and gradually over a period of 7-10 days. Make sure that the portion size is correct – especially with mixed feeding.

Mixed feeding possible

In order to meet the individual preferences of all dogs, ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O is also available as wet food with small chunks in gravy or as a soft mousse.* Mixed feeding gives the food different textures, which can stimulate appetite. Wet food has a more intense flavour and its moisture content helps to regulate the pet’s water balance. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to absorb and good for the teeth.
